Siwa Murti Healers’ Sacred Bali Retreat Day 2:

Off to the island of Nusa Penida! Nusa Penida is boat ride away from Bali and one of the most magical experiences for two reasons. One: Pura Delem Ped. Two: Goa Giri Putri. What are those you ask? I’m glad you asked.

Pura Delem Ped is a sacred temple of Ratu Gede. Ratu Gede is known as an entity that is an ascended master and healer. As a healer, you go to the altar of Ratu Gede and kneel. You can ask Ratu Gede to make you a stronger healer or even ask permission to become a healer. It can be a very dizzying experience for many. Our guide, who is also a temple priest, became overwhelmed and lost his balance. It took him a while to recover.

Goa Giri Putri is also a temple….but it’s inside a massive cave! We went on a Full Moon to celebrate Purnama (complete, infinite, perfection) and were shoulder to shoulder with 1000’s of Balinese. It is a very holy place and filled with many ceremonies. The energy is thick and it’s not uncommon to see magical things that make you feel like you are hallucinating. There are many altars to have ceremonies around, but my hands down favorite is to Quan Yin, the goddess of compassion.

At the end of the experience in the caves, the final destination is the altar to Quan Yin. I’ve always had a really strong spiritual connection with Quan Yin that dates back to 1996. As I’ve spent much of my life to working with and healing children, I discovered Quan Yin’s alignment with that. Her compassion, mercy, kindness and mothering of all has always resinated with me spiritually and I’ve always kept statues of her in my home and on my altar. The altar to Quan Yin is massive and there are two temple priest chanting over you and blessing you in front of it. My experience this year was going into a trance, being surrounded by loved ones and ancestors who have crossed over and who being shown some amazing information. I thought I would pass out, but luckily the temple priests are there to catch you (as it happens to many).

Nusa Penida is a very special place to say the least and next year’s retreaters are in for an even more expansive visit to the island. None of this would’ve been possible for us if it weren’t for one of our favorite healers taking us. Jero is a very special woman with her own modality who not only gave healings to all of us, she took us to her most scared and holy place and guided us through. I am deeply grateful for such an amazing person in my life and her capacity to show true compassion and love. She’s a living version of Quan Yin in my book!
